Klagenfurt am Wörthersee/Frankfurt am Main (03.06.2015): In Germany PV-plants with a nominal capacity of approximately 39 GWp are installed. Since the amendment of the Renewable Energies law (EEG) in 2012, a shut-off mechanism is part of the prescribed equipment of larger PV-plants. In the last years the share of power-controlled PV-plants has increased significantly. With persistently slow grid expansion a further significant increase of power shortages and an associated increase of curtailments is expected. Therefore the management of compensation claims will be a critical success activity for the PV plant operators. ENcome offers PV plant operators suitable standard process and services…
Klagenfurt am Wörthersee (29.05.2015) – Good measuring equipment is expensive. Especially for measurements which exceed the standard use. ENcome’s engineers analyse all problems of the PV plant with focus on the measurement to ensure a trouble-free and optimized plant operation.
Klagenfurt am Wörthersee (18.05.2015) – The Italian „Allegato 72 (short A72, appendix to the technical requirements of grid operators) requires existing PV plants ? 100kWp to be equipped with a special GSM-modem, that can switch the PV park on and off with an SMS. PV park owners, who execute this mandatory modification in the first half of 2015, will receive an incentive of EUR 500 from GSE.
Klagenfurt/Wörthersee (07.04.2015) – Glaring caused by photovoltaic installations is a peripheral topic that often becomes important, when it’s nearly too late. Klagenfurt am Wörthersee (17.12.2014): Potential-induced degradation (PID) is becoming a progressively virulent problem for the photovoltaics industry. It is a burden for module producers due to increasing PID-related warranty claims, but also for power plant owners due to the high level of insolvencies and strategic realignments of many manufacturers, leaving their claims uncovered. Research to date has been largely focusing on understanding the technical details of the effect rather than its predictability. ENcome Energy Performance is collaborating in upcoming projects to investigate the factors leading to PID even better, allowing plant owners to test their plants at a stage where the…
Klagenfurt am Wörthersee (09.12.2014): ENcome welcomes the upcoming consolidation on the European market for the technical O&M („Operations & Maintenance“) of PV installations. In the recent months a clear tendency is observable at many large PV power plants, to reduce the number of different O&M providers. Investors especially emphasise on the necessary critical size of the operator as well as its international setup. By using economies of scale and complexity reduction also operative costs (“OpEx”) throughout the plant operation can be optimized. Further challenges result from the integrity of interfaces, for example direct marketing.
Klagenfurt am Wörthersee (01.12.2014): Across Europe intrusions in PV installations are significantly increasing recently. Offenders do not only steal cables or components, they also cause significant damage due to vandalism. This leads to the fact that numerous insurance companies either increase premiums and retentions or exclude theft from the insurance cover. A professional two-stage security system is the prerequisite for an efficient counter-strategy. However, in case of intrusion also an optimized process is crucial. ENcome operates several PV installations in regions with a high risk of thefts. So far, in spite of an increasing number of theft attempts no serious damage could be…
Klagenfurt am Wörthersee (18.11.2014): ENcome takes over technical O&M („Operations & Maintenance“) and monitoring of additional 4 PV installations in Italy. The take-over from the current O&M provider was successfully finished within 24 hours. This transaction once more underlines that a short-term take-over of O&M contracts is feasible supposing a foresighted project management. The contracting investor strives a consolidation of all O&M providers to reduce complexity and minimize operational expenditures (OpEx) of plant operation through economies of scale. In the selection process ENcome convinced with its high-quality constructor and manufacturer independent services as well as with its…
Klagenfurt am Wörthersee (12.11.2014): Together with the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) and OFI Technologie & Innovation GmbH ENcome searches in the field of long-term behaviour of photovoltaic installations within the project called PAMINA. Missing or unprofessional operation and maintenance of PV power plants leads to million euros of costs each year for plant owners. Too late detections of failures cause higher repairs costs and longer downtimes ending up in minor yields.
With more than 11,200 PV modules and 140 string inverters, spread over 12 farm buildings, ENcome continuously expanses its portfolio of roof installations in Italy.
For the first time Italy’s most important photovoltaic trade fair, the SOLAREXPO, takes place in Milan. From 8th to 10th May, companies from all over the world are representing their products and services – also ENcome will be represented with its own booth.
