ENcome implements CMMS

The European market leader for independent photovoltaic services announces the group-wide successful implementation of its Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Within a few months the Microsoft based system was rolled out in all units and is now the sole basis for ENcomes O&M activities with a total capacity of more than one gigawatt and more than 1.000 managed plants in Europe and Australia. Together with its own software developments, ENcome achieves the complete independence of plant specific hardware and software and is setting new standards for the industry.

„With CMMS we can image our complete business processes from data analyses in our Monitoring and Control Center over corrective and preventive maintenance work on-site to documentation and reporting in one system and provide access to our customers. In connection with the complete independence of plant-specific hardware and software we thus offer our customers a unique service in our industry” explains Dr. Andreas Leimbach. “The system-related growing transparency of our processes provides scope for cost optimization as a result of efficiency gains and scale effects and allows us to detect potential risks even earlier and thus to minimize them”, completes Burkhard Söhngen.

CMMS, which is specially tailored for ENcomes’ business activities, images all O&M relevant information of the managed PV plants and allows the company and its customers access to all relevant plant data. This includes the information of the PV plants as for example plant layouts and data sheets of the installed components as well as ENcome’s historical and planned O&M activities in form of integrated workflows as well as maintenance and performance reports. For an ideally effective communication with the engaged technician on-site, CMMS offers the possibility to access decentralized via smartphones and tablets directly to the system. Plant information are therefore available at any time and maintenance activities can be entered directly on-site. This reduces the expenditure of work as well as concurrent the possible error sources. This approach is the basis for a better management of the plant life cycle and a reliable basis for the continuous optimization of operating expenses.
